Medical Illustrators create visual representations of medical and biological subjects for educational, instructional, and research purposes, combining artistic skills with scientific knowledge.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Illustration, Biological Illustration, Fine Arts with a focus on medical subjects, or related fields.

  • Master’s degree may be preferred for advanced positions or specialized areas.

  • Proficiency in digital illustration software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and 3D modeling software.

  • Strong artistic skills, including anatomy drawing, perspective, shading, and color theory.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathology.

  • Attention to detail and ability to communicate complex scientific concepts visually.

  • Collaboration and communication skills to work with multidisciplinary teams.
